The Hope Valley Neighborhood Association (HVNA) serves the households in HV in the following ways:
- Appearance. Ever wonder who takes care of the common areas in and around Hope Valley? Funds for maintenance of the entrances and common areas within the neighborhood come as a part of our volunteer efforts and budget. Generous gifts from local residents and clubs make special projects possible, like the tree work on the Windsor median. Send comments and suggestions to the HNVA Appearance Committee.
- Neighborhood Watch. We post Crime Alerts on the neighborhood listserv as we learn about them.
- Development Watch. We follow pertinent zoning matters for the neighborhood. We also provide an important voice in the larger affairs of Durham through representation on the Inter-Neighborhood Council.
- Newsletter. The HVNA newsletter is currently our primary means of communication. We hear often that residents enjoy the newsletter. A lot of volunteer hours go into the production of the newsletter and it is our single largest budget item.
- Website. A single point of contact. We keep you informed about issues and events that involve the neighborhood. We also provide you with quick answers or links for residential concerns.
